For over 30 years, South Lyndale has been a leader in offering fine wine to the Twin Cities. In the late 1970’s, we were among the first wine shops in Minnesota to offer Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the  pioneers of California wine- Mondavi, Stag’s Leap, Freemark Abbey and on. When most liquor stores were happy to rely on mass-produced jug wines, South Lyndale was offering the pleasure of hand crafted wines from the true artists of the wine world.

That innovative spirit continues today. We adore the classics- stocking over 1000 selections from France, Italy, Spain and Germany, but we don’t stop there. South Lyndale was the first Twin Cities store to truly promote the wines of South America, and we now offer nearly 300 selections from Chile and Argentina. We lead the pack in offerings from Austria, Oregon, Washington, and even carry wines from Bulgaria, India, and Canada.

Through it all have been our customers. South Lyndale has always been patronized by the most open-minded and adventurous wine drinkers in the Twin Cities, and they are who we serve. We offer the best wine club in the country, as well as smaller tasting groups, personal shopping, in-home tastings and wine sales that draw people from all over the Midwest. We will never stop searching out the world’s most exciting wines, and we’re glad you’re along for the ride.
