Wine Geeks: Michael DeLoach, President, Hook & Ladder Winery

We’ll be slurping our way through the seriously tasty wines of Sonoma County’s Hook & Ladder with winery president Michael DeLoach. If you recognize the DeLoach name, that’s because Michael’s family founded DeLoach and established their reputation for classically-styled wines that emphasize balance and finesse over flash. After selling the DeLoach label, the family established Hook & Ladder, aiming to continue their stellar record of grape growing and winemaking.

Hook & Ladder has become one of our favorite wineries- expressing the best of California fruit within an elegant, food-friendly framework. They are the rare winery that excels across their entire lineup, from cool, fresh whites to reds ranging from Pinot Noir to Zinfandel. Hook & Ladder’s responsible, sustainable farming practices further demonstrate their commitment to the Russian River Valley, and their intension to be a part of that great wine growing area for the long term.

This will be a terrific tasting, but is unfortunately limited to 25 people. Cost is just $15, call 612-827-5811 now to register.
