Next week is Summit’s Tap Takeover at the Black Forest Inn Beer Garden, and now is the time to reserve your spots for the VIP tasting and to meet the founder of Summit Brewing, Mark Stutrud!
As well as getting to sample a great lineup of beer, we will have some great sausages and starters courtesy of Black Forest. At the end there will be sine kick-ass giveaways and raffles. Be sure to reserve your spot now! We promise- it’s going to be a blast.
Ålander Rum Punch – 12 servings
- 3 cups Ålander Spiced Rum
- 1 cup Luxardo Marischino
- 1 cup Cointreau
- 12 oz lemon juice
- 9 oz simple syrup
- 2 quarts dry sparkling wine
- 1 quart soda water
Put all ingredients except soda water and sparkling wine into a punch bowl; add ice mold. Then add soda water and sparkling wine.
Norseman Gin Rickey
- 2 oz Norseman Gin
- 1 half lime
- .75 oz Jack Rudy Small Batch Tonic
- 4 oz soda water
- a splash of simple syrup if desired
Juice half a lime into a highball glass, and drop it in. Add gin, fill glass with ice and top with soda water. Add simple syrup for sweetness. Stir and enjoy!
Prairie Cucumber & Ginger Mojito
Muddle mint leaves in cocktail shaker. Add vodka, Powell and Mahoney Ginger, lime juice (and the lime). Shake and pour into a highball glass over ice. Top off with soda water.

John Mark of California Pinot Noir and Chardonnay masters LIOCO will pour at the store. LIOCO takes great care to procure the best available fruit to compose the best possible wines. The results are distinctive, terroir-specific and of course, delicious!
Andy Cutter, founder/proprietor/winemaker of Duxoup, will pour and sign bottles at the store. Duxoup wines are silky, fruity, and come from venerable vineyards. The wines express not only terrior, but the highly skilled work of the two owners, both experienced and respected for their independence and consistent quality. The wines are rare, but well worth the effort to find.
