WOW! This is one of the most interesting malts I’ve ever had from Islay. Kilchoman possesses a wonderfully complex nose of campfire and smoking leather with an almost cyan pepper spice underneath. The front of the palate is sharp and dry, moving to a smooth, slightly oily smoke infused mid palate pricking with heat. The finish is a balanced mineral laced, Smokey, spicy wonder that rides for quite some time. Overall, the balance of flavors and weights makes this an incredibly easy dram, both visceral and ephemeral at the same time.

Ok, you’re going to have to trust us on this one. I thought this was going to be gag-inducing, but tasting is believing. Nut Liquor from Pandora Spirits brings a flavor more akin to fresh roasted peanuts than jiff and white bread. Mild nutty aroma leads to a smooth, if a bit creamy mouth-feel followed by a nuanced finish exploding with peanut power! Now who wants a salt-rimmed nutty martini!
