Sunday, May 26, 5:00 – ? Solera Restaurant, Minneapolis
Tasting- 5-8pm, $25
Four-course dinner with Sherry pairing, $40
In the incredible world of wine, few developments are as exciting as the explosion of the availability of great Sherry in the United States. Sherry comes in many forms, from bone dry and crisp, to deep and rich, to ice cream-topping sweet. Sherry is among the most interesting, food-friendly and complex drinks on Earth, and it is easily the most undervalued. Sunday, May 26 is your chance to explore these fascinating wines at Minneapolis’ treasured Spanish restaurant Solera. South Lyndale Liquors and our east-side partners Solo Vino will have Sherry experts pouring nearly 100 Sherries and Solera is offering a four-course prix-fixe dinner paired with Sherry all night long. I strongly recommend that you join us for a fabulous night of fun!
Hope to see you all there!
The right bitters can take a cocktail from merely drinkable to extraordinary. If you’re a true aficionado, you may have tried to make them yourself. But it’s not that easy settling on a technique with no prior experience, much less tracking down a supplier of things like gentian root and quassia amargo.
That’s why Erik “Easy” Eastman and Dan Oskey thought to do all the leg work for you…
Our Easy & Oskey brand kick off party at the store was a blast, and we want more!
Join us on Thursday, May 16th and Thursday, June 13th for Seasonal Cocktail Seminars with Erick & Dan, featuring custom bitters from Easy & Oskey. As a bonus, each participant will receive a $10 coupon that can be used that night towards already discounted bitters kits and specially priced spirits and mixers.

We love ourselves some Schell’s here at South Lyndale Liquors. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity to tour the beautiful grounds and drink the beautiful beers. We had a gorgeous day to walk around outside and take some great pictures of the old brewing equipment and the famous peacocks. If this sounds awesome, stop by for a tour of your own. Enjoy the photos, and remember to drink more Schell’s!
Here’s a taste of one of our great new murals by artist Erin Sayer. Stop in and watch the magic happen!
Time to get creative.
Who says you have to buy 6 of the same beers at once? We don’t want to play by the rules! South Lyndale offers a selection of over 600 single specialty beers, and we want you to try as many of them as you can! Stop in to create your own six pack of hits from all over the world.
But wait, there’s more: when you buy six or more single beers, you receive 10% off all of your single beers. And that includes 22oz bombers and 750ml beers! Viva selection!
Boulevard Smokestack Series Dark Truth Stout
This is a traditional English stout on steroids! Belgian yeast strains bring a fruity kick that really plays off the chocolate malt. Tight, bitter hops provide an excellently dry finish that goes on for days. This is the perfect stout to battle Minnesota’s March blizzards!
It’s bottle conditioned, so throw one of these in your cellar and let the Belgian yeast do the funky things it does so well!
